PRP Therapy + Microneedling

WHAT IS PLATELET-RICH PLASMA?

Your blood is made up of four main components: red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma. Platelet-Rich Plasma is a platelet concentrated

component from your own blood that contains nutrient rich cells and protein growth factors.

WHAT IS PLASMA?

Plasma is the largest component of your blood, making up about 55 percent of its overall content. The primary purpose of plasma is to transport nutrients, hormones,

and proteins to the parts of the body that need it.

WHAT ARE PLATELETS?

Platelets are tiny cells that circulate within our body and bind together when they recognize damaged blood vessels. Platelets are made in your bone marrow along with your white and red blood cells.

HOW IS PLATELET-RICH
PLASMA MADE?

Platelet-Rich Plasma is produced when a small amount of blood is drawn and placed into a sterile, disposable blood draw tube and then, spun to separate the platelets from your blood sample in a centrifuge, resulting in a platelet-rich plasma.

Microneedling Facials

Microneedling also known as collagen induction therapy, involves penetrating the skin with tiny needles to stimulate collagen and increase cell renewal. The treatment is used with numbing cream to minimize discomfort and insure a successful treatment. This process stimulates the body's natural healing process to reveal plump, evenly toned and glowing skin. This is a safe and non-invasive treatment that has the ability to transform the skin greatly. Little to no downtime, but limited sun exposure is necessary. Old acne scars? Texture issues? Hyperpigmentation issues? This is your new favorite service.

Microneedling with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) a.k.a., The Vampire Facial, is a cosmetic treatment that stimulates collagen production and helps to rebuild and repair damaged skin.

The addition of PRP, the "liquid gold" from the blood will make microneedling more effective. The liquid in blood is plasma, while platelets are solid. Platelets help blood clot, so they are vital for healing wounds and injuries. PRP is plasma in which the concentration of platelets is higher than that of other components of the blood and filled with growth factors and stem cells, making the microneedling session 10x more powerful and effective at treating many skin issues such as, large pores, post acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and fine lines/wrinkles.

During the process, blood is drawn from the patient and spun to separate the plasma from the other components of the blood. After centrifuging, the plasma is used during the microneedling process.
