Let's get masking. Customize the Sebum Rescue Mask

Updated: Mar 22, 2021

The Sebum Rescue Mask is here and ready purify, balance and brighten your skin. Due to its powder form, this mask can be customized to fit your individual skin needs. (Think of it as your personalized facial right at home.) Here are some of my favorite bases to mix with and what I use on my clients.

Water - normal use

Mix in more water for a thinner application or less for a thicker mask application. It's up to you. For more problematic areas, I suggest a thicker application on those areas for more concentration of masking benefits. If your mask feels tight or itchy, add more water.

Honey - to boost radiance and detoxify

Honey is antibacterial and has soothing properties, which makes it great for all skin types, especially oily. It’s also rich in antioxidants which help protect your skin against environmental pollutants and dehydration.

Mix a table spoon of honey and 2-3 scoops of Sebum Rescue into a paste, and then apply for 10-15 mins to face.

Aloe - to calm and hydrate skin

Aloe is a staple is my skincare routine. It's calming and moisturizing on the skin. Aloe also helps to combat bad bacteria caused by P.acnes making this the perfect base to mix the Sebum Rescue mask with for clear and balanced skin.

Mix equal parts Dual Moisture Aloe Hydrating Gel and Sebum Rescue into a paste form, and then apply for 10-15 mins to face.

Avocado - to nourish and purify

Avocados are packed with antioxidants and vitamins. Vitamins E and C help support your skin’s elasticity and structure. Avocados also are full of fatty acids, which help nourish and soften your skin instantly.

Mix half of a mashed avocado with 2-3 scoops of Sebum Rescue. Apply the mask to your face and let sit for 10-15 minutes. If the mask isn't sticking to your face, try adding in a drop or two of Antioxidant Omega + Face Oil, pour a glass of your favorite wine and RELAX.

As always, it's best to perform a small patch test for irritation on the upper neck area below the ear.

That's it!

The possibilities are endless. If you have any other bases to mix with your Sebum Rescue Mask, please try them out. Happy Masking.
